YOU KNOW I'D LOVE TO
WASTE IT AGAIN

This series of paintings titled You Know I'd Love to Waste It Again consists of simple marks that, in their accumulated state, lie in the intersection between reading and seeing. The letters are initials of ancestors dating back hundreds of years. As unknowable as they are, they are irreplaceable as far as I am specifically concerned.

Hatch marks, a particular notation with a gravitational pull that has lasted for years, chronicle the 'I am here' of existence and  assert the presentness of time by marking its passage in a literal form.
